Out & About — Red 2 meet Shoreditch

I'm talking about this a little bit late, but I can't fail to register these moments.
I'm talking about Out & About workshop which I attended the last 15 of October. In this day the Red 2 team met some Shoreditch places like Kemistry, White Cube and YCN.

The meeting point was in Old Street Station. Me & Mariana went there by bicycle in the morning under the cold weathder of London. Before arriving to the meeting point we got lost because of me, but we managed to return to our rout and complete our trip with success and we weren't late.

First, Paul guided us to the Kemistry Gallery where we saw the exhibition "Gastrotypographicalassemblage" a celebration of Lou Dorfsman's work, art director for the CBS Network.

The Kemistry is a street gallery, not so big but quite nice. The center of the exhibition is a typographic and 3d peace for the CBS cantine, unfortunately we couldn't see the original piece but only the photographic reproduction of it.

I'm a bit geek about editorial design and grids and I love this book about the Exploration of the Moon. The cover of this book is really nice, with the texture of the moon.

At Kemistry I also had the oportunity to see some pieces from the french graphic designer Côme de Bouchony, available for sale at the gallery.

After that we went to the White Cube. Personaly I don't really liked the exhibition too much, didn't say much to me, but I still enjoyed being there and I got some inspiration mainly from the experiences with textures of the paintings in the main room, which I liked.

After Kemistry and White Cube we went to the YCN, they have a store and library in the ground floor and the studio is upstairs but this last one's close to the general public. I already knew YCN but only by internet sources. I've never met this place and I loved it. I will most definitely be back there.

After this we finished the session in a book and magazine store close to YCN and with a group picture.

Thank you Paul for this trip!
